CHAIRMANS 2020 NEW YEAR MESSAGE
Dear Distinguished Members, It is with utmost delight and in the name of our God Most High that I welcome you all to this New Year 2020. I pray that the good Lord in His infinite mercies and compassion will lead us all through this year 2020 in good health, sound mind and body.
I know we have all resumed from the end of year break and also believe that production, sales and distribution of our products are ongoing without any hitch or hindrance.
Without much ado, I want to specially congratulate the immediate past chairman of the group, Obong Ikpong Umoh and his executive who took the group to such enviable heights and whose position I was elected to fill.
I wish to re-emphasize the need for our collective resolve to see that the conditions of doing business in Nigeria is better for all. To this end, the executives, the secretary and I have reviewed the performance and achievements of the group, setting up new objectives and priorities for the year and beyond. We will work assiduously to engage the relevant government agencies constructively in venting our challenges and exploring the most viable diplomatic channel to achieve our desired results and also strongly build on the projects of our predecessors to reinforce the commitment of members; While creating more viable platforms for the addition of new member companies into the group to add more strength, vibe and vigor to our voice.
I want to use this auspicious medium to make a clarion call to all CEOs and Managing Directors of member companies; the popular adage which says “THE MORE, THE MERRIER” can never be used out of context in the present circumstances. We all know the challenges plaguing the business environment in our country and so we must not take the back seat at all but must come all out in mass, resolved to convince the handlers of the various agencies of government to be more cerebral in the policies and regulations they churn out which in more ways than one affect our daily operations. I want to sincerely appreciate the CEOs and MDs who have supported the group financially and resourcefully to ensure that the voice of our advocacy is heard loud and clear.
I urge you all to painstakingly go through our Strategic Action Plan (SAP), so we can align ourselves to the goals and objectives of the group. I wish to passionately plead with member companies to pay up their yearly subscription to enable the group meet-up with his financial obligation in terms of our advocacy pursuit and keep the secretariat running.
Finally, I congratulate the defined and seasoned ladies and gentlemen on-board the new Executives. Together, we will make it happen and to our Esteemed Members, together we can work on the best and lasting solutions to our challenges as an industry/group.
I wish you all a Prosperous 2020 Business Year!
Yours In Service,
Mr. Uche Okafor
